Lymphedema

Commonly caused by cancer treatments or a parasitic infections. Some who suffer from this condition may inherit it from their parents. Although it occurs more commonly in the upper limbs, it can also affect lower limbs as well.

If either is the case, a wheelchair may be necessary to aid the individual with the pain that comes from walking and/or running.
